The Diocese of San Angelo and Catholic Rural Life invite you to participate in Vocation of the Agricultural Leader Workshop 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Big Spring. This workshop is for anyone involved or interested in agriculture -- producers, processors, consumers and anyone willing to consider how our Catholic faith informs all aspects of agriculture.
Farming is not easy work. Given the complexities of agricultural production--the natural elements, changing climate, global competition, and constant pressure to make a living while being good stewards of the natural resources--there is a great need for ethical leadership in addressing these challenges and understanding our relationship to others, God and the environment.
The workshop will include a presentation of a newly released document titled
Vocation of the Agricultural Leader. Most Rev. Michael Sis will participate. Jim Ennis, executive director of Catholic Rural Life, is the keynote presenter.
Contact Dcn. Charlie Evans at [email protected] to make your reservation or call 432-634-6170 with questions.
A $20 workshop fee includes a copy of
Vocation of the Agricultural Leader and lunch prepared and served by Holy Trinity parishioners.
Students are free, but a reservation is required to plan for lunch.
