SAN ANGELO — To honor those who sacrificed their life in an attempt to rescue those who were trapped under the rubble on September 11, 2001, and to pray for all those who lost their lives, Most Rev. Michael D. Pfeifer, Bishop of San Angelo, invites everyone from San Angelo and the surrounding areas to a Memorial Service Tuesday, September 11.

The service memorializing the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to pray for peace throughout the entire world will take place at the Memorial Monument near the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love Street, off of Chadbourne, 9 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

In addition to Bishop Pfeifer, those scheduled to share a few thoughts include San Angelo resident Rosendo Velez, who was at Ground Zero on the day of the terrorist attacks, and San Angelo Mayor Alvin New.

Everyone is encouraged to attend in order to strengthen our resolve to be a united people of peace.
